     Role of The Advisor

The function of chapter advisor is to help train leaders - not run the chapter.  The principal value of the Fraternity as a social and educational institution lies in the opportunities and experiences which it provides to its members while permitting mistakes as well as successes.  The advisor has an obligation to provide advice and work with members to ensure that mistakes become learning lessons.  Such advice and guidance is done so in a manner which does not interfere with the normal working of the chapter and allows members to gain experience and self-confidence through personal experiences.
